As much as I hate this, things like cancer or other traumatic things bring people together. This is good yet also bad in some ways. I would always hope that it wouldn’t take things like these to bring people together, but it is in these moments you really do assess those you allow in your circle. During this time of diagnosis, another dear friend received challenging news about her husband’s cancer and my work buddy was having brain surgery two days ago to remove a mass. I sometimes feel like we are a bunch of Tee Pee poles trying to prop each other up in the high winds.
Because of the deep emotions that come with this journey, you really have to evaluate what you let in. Energy is everything. I was in a dark place coming into this year with personal events, and this was a reality check that I had to dig out of it. Negative energy from your own self-talk and others around you can absolutely impact your ability to heal. The body is so incredibly designed, and under the right favorable factors, knows what to do to rid itself of disease. If your energy isn’t aligned in the right place, the body struggles to do its thing.
Sometimes these moments are a time to resolve and heal conflict and that is wonderful. Things like this soften hearts, BUT, if you feel a situation warrants more energy than you can give at the moment, it’s acceptable to park that for now and tackle it later when you are well. You have to make sure that that direct circle is one of high vibration. I feel so blessed with a strong circle, and it’s even more incredible to know they all bring such different strengths. You always know who they are. The organizer, the food prepper, the funny one, the calmer, the hugger, the ugly crier, and the one who slaps you when you need to get of your own head. Use them to help in the areas where you feel deficient.
Oddly enough, I felt my body was trying to tell me something months ago. I had this strong urge to ditch alcohol back in December. I was never a big drinker, but I did drink socially during the week. My body just felt it wasn’t good for me any longer and I quit cold turkey. I have been drinking this concoction of red onion, apple, cinnamon, turmeric, and ginger tea for months which helped me avoid all the gunk this winter season that everyone else caught. I know it sounds disgusting, but it is an excellent immune booster and anti-inflammatory drink, and is dirt cheap to make in bulk. I have now added green and soursop tea to the daily mix. I still do my greens shake but have added flax seed daily as it is a good cancer fighter. It’s all about putting the body and mind in a good place. I have started a regiment of red light therapy and sauna time as well. As I research more good supplements and nutrients, I will start to link them here.
For random notes today, I absolutely use double spaces after my periods in sentences, and I am not sorry…I am just that many years old.
